ADOT DBE SS is presenting a unique opportunity to expand your business with direct government contracting. The Preparing to Prime training series is designed for general contractors and specialty trade contractors who are seeking prime contracting opportunities with ADOT and other government agencies.
“ADOT is committed to providing opportunities to the Arizona DBE community. Many DBEs, general contractors and specialty subcontractors alike, can benefit from learning first-hand what it takes to become a prime contractor with ADOT. The Preparing to Prime Program was created to address this need by providing education and access to ADOT leadership,” says Melissa Boyles, ADOT DBE Supportive Services Program Manager.
Preparing to Prime provides high level technical information geared towards businesses in growth mode. ADOT key personnel and industry experts will demystify the process of working with government agencies. During the program, businesses will:
- Strengthen their prequalification materials
- Gain understanding of what it takes to manage ADOT projects
- Have access to industry experts and ADOT technical staff
- Identify possible teaming arrangements and business synergies
Upon completion of at least seven of the nine schedule sessions, participants will earn:
- Certificate of completion from Arizona Department of Transportation
- Online exposure through articles and blogs posted at www.adotdbe.com
- Mock interview with ADOT technical staff
All sessions are scheduled at the ADOT HRDC (1130 N. 22nd Avenue, Phoenix 85009), one Wednesday morning a month.
