Networking Event for I-10/Ruthrauff Rd to Prince Rd

Apr 20, 2011
May 3, 2011:  Pre-registration is required.

ADOT DBE Supportive Services has scheduled a project-specific networking event for the I-10/Ruthrauff Rd to Prince Rd project.  Contractors are encouraged to research the project and begin building business relationships prior to the project procurement.  A Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) utilization goal will be assessed on the procurement of this project.

The purpose of the networking event is for prime contractors who anticipate bidding on the project to meet with DBE firms seeking subcontracting opportunities.  Prime contractor participation in the ADOT networking event will count towards their good faith efforts.

The event details are as follows:
Event:     I-10/Ruthrauff Rd to Prince Rd Networking Event
Date:      Tuesday, May 3, 2011
Time:      9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Location: Operations Division West — 1310 W. Miracle Mile, Tucson, Arizona
Registration:   Please register using the following link:  Tucson Events: I-10/RU TO PR TI

Event Structure:  Pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings will take place between participating prime contractors and DBE subcontractors.  Each registered participant will receive a confirmation by Friday, April 29th, with a list of their appointments.

No on-site registration will be accommodated.  No open networking will take place at this event.

Prime contractors are required to register two key team members with the authority to choose subcontractors for this project (i.e., project manager and estimator).  Each will be provided with a table and two chairs.  A schedule of one-on-one meetings will be arranged for each representative.

DBE firms are required to pre-register and identify the scopes of work they will bid on for  this project.  The categories identified by the ADOT Civil Rights Office as “areas with DBE availability” are listed in the registration link.  A schedule of one-on-one meetings will be arranged for each DBE firm.  The number of meetings will be determined by the total number of prime contractors and DBE firms registering by April 29, 2011.

Due to the limited space at the facility, the following guidelines are in place:
  • All firms are encouraged to send only two representatives.
  • Table space is limited to 24 prime contractors and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
  • DBEs performing work in an area identified by the ADOT Civil Rights Office as an area of DBE availability will receive priority registration.
  • Registration confirmation will be made as soon as possible but no later than Friday, April 29th.
For questions or special accommodations, please email the networking team at tucsonevents@kuniklo.com.
