The ADOT Academy for the Advancement of DBEs is now the ADOT Academy for the Advancement of Small & Disadvantaged Businesses!
A commitment has been made to the Arizona’s small business community. The ADOT Academy for the Advancement of DBEs has been expanded to include certified Small Business Enterprises. While the ADOT SBE certification program is under development, ADOT will recognize City of Phoenix and City of Tucson SBE certification for the purposes of awarding scholarships for participation.
The ADOT Academy curriculum, which has been developed by ASU’s Alliance for Construction Excellence, centers around the design and the construction of transportation projects. Companies that can participate on these types of projects will be given priority for participation. The program’s content includes training and education in the areas of leadership, communication, risk management, finance, marketing, bidding and procurement assistance. Instruction is provided by ASU professors, industry experts, and ADOT leadership.
